I am sure if you contact the doctor and hospital where your children received care they will reduce the amount or forgive the bill.  Just sent $10 per month until you are on your feet. 

Most all of the states offer low cost children's health insurance. (Not Medicaid), but low cost insurance.  I would suggest you call your child's Dr.  They most likely can guide you in that direction.

I too had injured my back 10 years ago and had to stop my nursing career.  I kept looking and found a career that works with my limitations.  I will be in pain at home or at work, I choose to go to work.  More money then disability and much better self worth.

I reached out to local churches for food and assistance with my bills.  (I have since then been able to pay them back and it felt great).  The biggest advice I can give is don't give up.  If your husband is in too much pain to work, you may need to do role reversal and you work a job or two and he stays home with the children.

I've come to ask for help. I am a 30 year old, permanently disabled person. I was on Social Security (SSDI-Social Security Disability Insurance) until the agency stopped my payments. It was only $300 a month, not even enough to live on. The worst part is they stopped my Medicaid too. I know the people at the Social Security Administration are just doing there job. I don't harbor any ill will towards them. I cannot get Welfare because I am disabled. The Welfare people tell me i have to get SSDI. It's a mean cycle.
Since my medicine costs over $2000 a month, I cannot pay that out of my pocket. I have no money in there to begin with. I would like to get a job, but employers want someone who can make money for them. After Neurosurgery, I complete tasks very slowly.
You see, if I become homeless (and I am almost already there), then I will have to beg on the streets. worse than that, I won't have money for medicine. So, I will be going to the Emergency Room without medication. The Emergency Room will charge me for an Emergency Room visit since I have no insurance. They will give me a couple of days of medication and send on my way. After that medicine is gone, I will go into severe convulsions again, and back to the Emergency Room.
I have little to eat. There is no junk food around here. That's a luxury. Watered down milk, day old bread, etc., is found around here. I wear old clothes (I don't need new clothes to go to work in because I don't have a job). I have gone to thrift stores to get clothes.
So this is what I thought I would do. I wish to tug on the heartstrings of all the good people out there. Everyone deserves to have dignity. I will give up my dignity and ask you to donate $1.00 through Paypal.

I am 22 married with a 3 month old son. We rencently had to kick out our roommates they ran our bills up and never paid us for any thing. They shut off my electric last week and are about to do it again. Right now they shut my water off. I am being sued for $3200 next week from a $500 credit card I had when I was 18. I need help! I am 44 years old, divorced and just recently my sons got married and moved out. I have worked most of my life for a bank as an assistant manager and left there to work for the government as a loan processor. The government job was a dream come true except I was full time temporary and they cut the budget and I was let go. Since then I have worked for many small office's that seem to close their doors because of no business and this has left me with no income. I have applied for unemployment and cannot receive it because I didn't make enough money in the quarter to qualify for it. I am going through the unemployment office to go to college to get an associates degree in Business Management, because it seems that the only way to get a job now is to have some kind of degree, but I still have no income. I have tried everywhere to get a job, but for some reason, I am over qualified or I feel maybe its my age (but it was never told to me in those terms). I am now 2 months behind on my mortgage payment, and 2 months behind on my car payment, and I can't even qualify for food stamps because I am a college student. I don't know how I am going to pay for my electric bill or food now. Does anyone know of any kind of assistance I could get to help me to make it until I can find work. The other problem is, if I do get a job, I don't have the money for gas to even get there til I make my first paycheck. I am at a loss. I can't ask my sons for help because I know they don't have money and my parents are on Social Security and don't have the money to help either. What else is there out there. I just don't want to be homeless and it seems like I don't qualify for anything that the state offers. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

We need help. About a year ago the company I had worked for most of my life sold out and all the employees were terminated. At the same time my wife left sending me into a temporary depression and costing numerous legal fees. She has since returned and by the grace of God we are rebuilding a much stronger relationship. We have 2 children now a third is on the way. We have accumulated numerous medical bills with our second child that cannot be paid. While out of work we accumulated monstrous credit card debt just trying to keep power and clothes and food available. My wife's mother recently moved in and her medical problems have only multiplied our other difficulties. My work barely keeps the bills paid and we are so far behind that we cannot seem to catch up. I am educated but no degree. Even at 39 the company's I apply to find an excuse not to hire me then I watch less qualified early 20's kids get the jobs. I am in the dark on this one. Minimum wage does not pay college loans, mortgages, credit card debt, or all the bank fees due to overdrafts. Please help I do not want to loose my family.

I am pleading for help to legally barrow an amount of $20,000.00. I am currently seperated from my husband and I am unable to help my Best Friend with his attorney fees to revocate his probation. I cannot believe that I am writing a post here. What have I been reduced to? Our family is struggling deeply -both of our vehicles have over 130,000 miles and are experiencing problems...We just keep putting money into a sinking ship. My student loans are at 91,000 and the chances are that in my profession I will not ever make enough to meet those obligations from a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. I honestly don't know where to turn...our credit is horrible b/c of student loan obligations and everything is backing up. In addition, our oldest child will be going to college next year and there is no way that we can help her. I don't know at the times over the years that I have helped others when I was able, however, now I cannot even help myself or my family. I know that in many ways we are blessed and there are certainly others who are more desperate that we, but right now it just hurts. Oh well, thanks for allowing me to vent. I know God is in control and I seek to follow each and everyday, but some days are harder than others. Especially when we see family members with so many more resources and abilities who are unwilling to help.

Dear Dumbfounded,alot of us know how you feel,no the Government is not taking care of their people,and it's going to take everyone to complain. have you tried Community Services in your area,if you have and didnot get any response then try going to a TV station and try to get your story told it's time for all of us to start yelling so they here what we have to say,We are all frustrated,I've complained to cnn news,and local stations it's going to take all us. We need a decent home to live in.We live in a double wide mobile home.And I can't do anything with it.Everything is falling apart.We put a new kitchen floor down, its coming up, so we cannot have a decent floor. Right now is the worst time of my life, I am married and have 2 young children, I work full time for the State making crappy wages. My husband is unemployed due to a severe illness. Hi I am despretely trying to find help for my bestfriend of 14 yrs. He and I are as one when together. We have helped so many people that were in need and now it's come that he needs help and I can't offer it to him as I am not working. He just lost his phone and now on the verge of loseing his truck. He is $5,000 in dept and just started to work at burger king. At his age he should be working a career job right now but no one will give him that oppertunity. We are in need of monitary donations to pay for our nephews attorney. He is a year and a half old and we have been fighting to keep him with us since he was two months old. His mother is a heroin addict and he was born addicted to heroin and other drugs. She has been in and out of rehabs since he was born. She continues to relapse as soon as she is released but continues to fight to get him back. She has not been in his life or even seen him in the last six months. He doesnt even remember her and now she is taking us back to court to get custody of him. We have run out of money to pay the attorney and are in desperate need for help. Our intire family is out of money to fight for him and we do not know what to do. If we can not afford an attorney the court will give him back to her. We can not take the chance for her to get him back. If he is returned to her the only thing we will have left is to pray he makes it and she doesnt give him away for drugs. We have given her many chances to straighten up and get him back and each and everytime she puts his preciouse little life in danger without a thought. Last time she had him she was arrested and we had to clean the appartment out. It was full of needles and containers of urine so she could pass her drug tests.
